What is the Old Town Market?

The Old Town Market is a beautiful retail shopping experience in Old Town San Diego. We are in the Old Town Historic State Park. In addition, we are made up of three historic buildings dating back to the mid-1800s in the form of a Convent, a Carriage house and the Casa De Aguirre which also has a beautiful small museum for you to explore.

How do I get to Old Town?

We are located on 4010 Twiggs Street and San Diego Avenue in the heart of Old Town San Diego, the Birthplace of California… about four minutes’ drive from the “Old Town Exit” on Interstate 5. Please refer to the San Diego map section for details. Public transportation and parking are available.

What kind of shops do you have?

We have a variety of shopping options for you. San Diego’s Old Town Market has approximately 40 unique shops for you to enjoy with products ranging from Mexican crafts to San Diego souvenirs and everything in between.

Where do I park?

We are located at 4010 Twiggs Street in Old Town San Diego and there is public parking all over the area. Go to parking information.

Are you ADA accessible/wheelchair friendly?

Yes. The Old Town Market has signage directing those with mobility issues to the most appropriate access points to our site. In addition, our site has ramps and an elevator to accommodate everyone.

Are dogs allowed?

Service animals are the only animals that are allowed. A service animal means a dog, regardless of breed or type, that is individually trained to do work or perform tasks for the benefit of a qualified individual with a disability, including a physical, sensory, psychiatric, intellectual, or other mental disability. Animal species other than dogs, emotional support animals, comfort animals, companionship animals, and service animals in training are not service animals.

I am looking for a specific item; how do I contact the shops?

Our website will have contact information for all of our shops. However, if you are not able to contact the shop, please contact our management office directly through our website and we will be happy to help.

Can I buy merchandise online?

You may contact each shop individually as some may have different purchasing options; you are always encouraged to visit us for the most options and selection.

Do you have live music?

We do. Live music normally takes place on our stage Friday, Saturday and Sunday starting at noon. For booking, contact the management office at 619-278-0955, ext. 227.

How do I lease a location at the Old Town Market?

The Old Town Market offers a variety of options when it comes to retail locations. Please contact the management office at at 619-278-0955, ext. 227. Please know that you will be asked for a merchandise proposal, a business license and insurance in order to lease a location at The Old Town Market.

Do you have ATMs?

Yes, we have three ATMs conveniently located on our property.
1 – By the Casa De Aguirre on the State Park side of the property.
2 – At the main entrance on Twiggs Street.
3 – On the 3rd floor by our restrooms.

Do you have a lost and found?

The Old Town Market has a lost and found for guests. If you have recently visited us and lost an item, please contact us to report your missing item. We are not responsible for lost, missing or stolen personal property but we will definitely try to help.
